Microdermabrasion is a gentle, non-surgical method of skin exfoliation that gently removes the layer of dead, dry skin cells.
Healthy skin cells should turnover/shed every 28 days. Sometimes, as we age, these skin cells build up and become more compact. This makes a thin, tough layer that builds up around fine lines and wrinkles, dulling and aging our skin. These built-up dead skin cells, often trap bacteria which can lead to breakouts, creating inflammation and redness. This layer of dead skin blocks skin care products from penetrating down into the skin rendering them ineffective.
How does a Medical Microdermabrasion work?
During the treatment, a licensed, skilled technician uses a crystal-tipped wand and makes small quick passes over the skin. A gentle scratching sensation can be felt, along with gentle suction from the machine. This helps to lift and clear away dirt, oil, sebum, dead skin and bacteria from the skin.

What is a Micropeel?
A micropeel is a combination of both a medical microdermabrasion and a physician strength chemical peel. Micropeels are ideal because they blend together the benefits of both the medical microdermabrasion and physician strength chemical peel into one comfortable treatment. A micropeel allows for deeper penetration of the physician strength chemical peel and provides faster, more significant results than a medical microdermabrasion or physician strength chemical peel performed alone.
While results can be seen immediately, a series of treatments along with maintenance treatments are recommended for best results.
Side Effects
Side effects are minimal and may include temporary redness or flakiness of the skin.
Medical grade sunblock should always be part of your skin care regimen and reapplied throughout the day to avoid adverse reactions.
Vigorous exercise should be avoided immediately after treatment to reduce the risk of inflammation.
